Mary Ann Sears, of Covington, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at the age of 76. A loving mother and grandmother, spending time with family was her greatest joy. Mrs. Sears enjoyed being outdoors, whether fishing on the lake or going to the mountains. Additionally, she liked traveling and shopping. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Mason Sears, Jr.; parents, James Otto and Jeanette Helen (Dalton) Jones.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Becky Rodewig, of Covington, Teresa McCullough and Tim Stephens, of Madison, Karen and Greg Sellers, of Social Circle; sons, Cliffton Sears, Randy Sears, both of Covington; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Mary Jones of Warren, North Carolina; grandchildren, Brittany and John Bennett, Tyler Sears, James and Cheryl Rodewig, Brett and Amanda Rodewig, Joey and Chastity Sellers, Mandy and Bryant Hebert, Blake Sears; great-grandchildren, Fletcher and Addie Rodewig, Waylon and Lacy Sellers, Quinn Bennett; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Sears will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, 1 p.m., at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor J.B. Leachman officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with her family at the funeral home Saturday, two hours prior to her service, from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m.
