Charles P. Rainwater, Sr., of Covington, died September 22, 2009, at the age of 72. Mr. Rainwater enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and riding motorcycles. When he was younger, he operated a CB radio with the handle: “Bar-B-Q Man”. Mr. Rainwater was preceded in death by his parents, Preston Hubert and Martha Davis Rainwater; and his brother, Douglas H. Rainwater. Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Rainwater; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Preston, Jr., and Symphony Rainwater of Newnan; grandchild, Jamie Baird; sister and brother-in-law, Maureen and Robert T. Rice of Union City, GA. Funeral Services for Mr. Rainwater will be held Saturday, September 26, 2009, 11 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Rd, with Pastor Richard Culpepper officiating, and interment following in Rocky Knoll Baptist Church Cemetery, in Walhalla, SC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, September 25, 2009, from 5-7 PM.
