Betty J. Mask, of Covington, died July 22, 2009, at Newton Medical Center, at the age of 69. Daughter of the late Paul Sharp and Emmie (Holloway) Arnold, she was retired from Snapper Mower. Ms. Mask enjoyed music and dancing, sewing, and canning vegetables she grew in her garden. Most important to her was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Micky and Bill Brown, Sherry Johns all of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Randall and Raye Mask of Newborn; grandchildren, Brandi Corley, Clabion Johns, Gregory Carnes, Joshua Johns, Thomas Mask, Tori Mask, Benjamin Mask; great-grandchildren, Maycee Allen, Hartleigh Corley, Eris Johns; sisters, Ruth Mann of Griffin, Jewel Corbett of Valdosta; brothers, Daniel Thorn and Gus Thorn. Funeral services for Ms. Mask will be held on Saturday, July 25, 11:00 AM, at the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with Pastor Rob Rainer officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 24, from 6 to 8 PM.
