Allie Brock Hawkins of Covington, passed away October 29, 2011, at the age of 92. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Hawkins retired from Bibb Manufacturing Company after nearly 38 years of employment. She loved reading, flower gardening, and vegetable gardening. She was an excellent cook, and everyone especially enjoyed her black walnut cake and coconut pies. Mrs. Hawkins was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Hawkins; and her parents, William John and Allie (Shewbert) Brock.

Survivors include her sisters, Fannie Fields of Oxford, Katie Mae Hudgins of Scottdale, GA; brother-in-law, Alvin Hawkins of Covington; nieces, nephews, and caregivers, Faye B. Ray and Shirley S. Cooper.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Hawkins were held Tuesday, November 1, 2011, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with Rev. Danny Standard and Rev. Lawrence Lockett officiating, and interment followed in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
