Men spending their night cat fishing on the Yellow River came across more than they bargained for early this morning - skeletal remains.
According to Lt. Tyrone Oliver with the Newton County Sheriff's Office, the fishermen called 911 around 1:20 a.m. and reported finding the remains just off River Front Road by the river.
With the exception of some clothing, there was nothing more than bones left of the person. According to Oliver, the body has been there for at least several months.
The remains were sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. A forensic anthropologist will likely be needed to make identification.
