Newton Medical Center’s Annual Spring Gala planned for April 25 will be a night to remember. Hosted by Linda and Reginald McFarland of Social Circle, the event promises to be elegant and entertaining.

Guests can expect grand dining, dancing to live music, and unlimited fun with a live and silent auction.

"We have some really wonderful items for auction including a trip to Colorado," said Val Hampton, Auxiliary board member and gala chairman. "We also have smaller items like the Odyssey Putter for the avid golfer or the spa package for that lady who likes to be pampered."

The Gala is the Hospital Auxiliary’s signature fund raising event of the year, bringing in thousands of dollars over the years for the purchase of several pieces of expensive medical equipment. The Auxiliary recently presented a check for $500,000 to the Hospital Board of Directors for the purchase of digital mammography equipment in The Women’s Diagnostic Center.

"Beginning with the Gala project, money raised will now go towards the purchase of medical equipment for the brand new neonatal intensive care unit," said Michelle Green, Auxiliary president.
