Officers were called to a home late Tuesday evening after a woman called and told them that Willie Adam Blackwell, 20, had been at her home and had pulled a gun on her.
According to reports, on the way to the victim's home, one officer notified the other that a vehicle matching the description of the one Blackwell was known to drive had been spotted and a traffic stop was being initiated. The vehicle pulled over at Elm Street Pawn Shop and officers began talking with Blackwell.
Meanwhile, another officer made his way to the victim's home and was told that Blackwell was the father of her child and he had been at her home when they got into an argument over $100. Blackwell reportedly threw the money on the floor and then threw the victim on the floor as well. Afterward he allegedly pulled a black handgun out and stuck it in the victim's face.
Blackwell was charged with aggravated assault and theft by receiving stolen property. Other occupants in the vehicle with Blackwell were charged with possession of marijuana and theft by receiving stolen property.
