Turkeys run a relay: The Cousins Middle School Relay for Life team had a "Teacher Turkey" contest for a Thanksgiving fundraiser. Teachers and students purchased more than 1,000 paper turkeys for Assistant Principal Kendrick Britford. With 1,780 turkeys sold for 25 cents each, this particular fundraiser brought in $445 for cancer research. Staff members could pose for a picture with Britford for $5 and students for $1. This money also went toward Relay for Life.
