On Oct. 18, Ella Gaither’s second grade class at Peachtree Academy dressed as surgeons and performed surgery on words...carefully removing letters that shouldn't be in words that are contractions.  This fun language arts activity reinforced that learning can be creative and fun!  Students definitely remember their contractions and how to use them in writing exercises.  Mrs. Gaither is a legendary teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience.  Her innovative ways of teaching and motivating students have led to thousands of successful students who embrace learning and love to read!
