Piedmont Academy held its elementary Christmas program on Dec. 9 under the direction of music teacher, April Allen. Backdrops for the program were constructed and painted by the cast and crew of the high school’s One Act Play.

The K-4 class performed "His Name Was Jesus," "On Christmas Day," "Bells Are Ringing," and "Jingle Bells." Kindergarten, first and second grade presented the play "The Tiniest Christmas Star" by Tina English and arranged by Stan Pethel. Songs included "Overture," "Calling All Stars," "Too Small to Shine," "Hallelujah Hoedown," "A Star is Born," and "Let It Shine" with "Joy to the World."

Characters in the play included Brody Anderson, Millie Smith, Connor Keesee, Cally Cook, Cameron Mobley, Rebekah Hicks, Ally Arp, Jessica McEwen, Jordan Beam, Haley Ann Frank, and Sydney Stroud.

Musical presentations by third, fourth, fifth grades included "O Christmas Tree" created by Pam Andrews. Songs include "Good Christian Men Rejoice," "The First Noel" by soloist– O’Neil Sealy, "Ring the Bells," "It Came Upon the Midnight Clear," "All Through the Night" by soloists Gracie Brittain and Anne Marie Hildebrant, "With a Star That Bright," "Go, Tell it on the Mountain," and "O Christmas Tree."

Dialogue speakers included Ivy English, Sierra Bowden, Amanda O’Neal, Kevin Davis, Jackson Waddleton, Gracie Brittain, Anne Marie Hildebrant, Anna Knox, Peyton Bowden, and Alina Jablonski.
