Principals named at four schools
Alcovy, Eastside, Veterans and Middle Ridge get principals

Members of the Newton County Board of Education agreed unanimously to hire four new principals for the recently vacated positions at Alcovy and Eastside High Schools, Veterans Memorial Middle School and Middle Ridge Elementary School.

Alcovy High School: Dr. LaQuanda Brown who is coming from Bibb County.

Eastside High School: Dennis Roddenberry who was most recently an assistant principal at EHS.

Veterans Memorial Middle School: James Peek who was most recently an assistant principal at VMMS.

Middle Ridge Elementary School: Alan Satterfield who was most recently the elementary and secondary special education coordinator for the NCSS.
