Piedmont Academy held its Honors Day Ceremony for fourth and fifth-grade students May 17.
Mrs. Stephanie Kelly gave out the awards for Accelerated Reader. Receiving the highest accumulated points in one year and the million-word club went to Mari Jablonski and Gracie Hunt. Students receiving a 90 percent or higher overall yearly AR average included Gracie Black, Mallory Boyd, Jordan Camp, Mari Jablonski, Emily Mills, Loren Pope, Zachary Spivey, Eli Waits, Morgan Whitley, Lawton Harris, Gracie Hunt, Rylee Owens, Summer Strother and Gage Wilborn.
Receiving fourth-grade awards for perfect attendance were Emily Mills, Ashton Mooney, and Mackenzie Rodgers; Yearly Honor Roll: Gracie Black; Yearly Headmaster's List: Mallory Boyd, Jordan Camp, Kelsey Leach, Emily Mills, Eli Waits and Payton Wallace; Yearly Special Distinction: Nicole Edwards, Mari Jablonski, Mackensie Johnston, Loren Pope and Zachary Spivey; Highest Academic Overall Average in fourth-grade: Mari Jablonski; Most Improved Student in Math: Madison Johnson.
