John Parker competed against 13 students from across the state to place second in public speaking. The judge’s score for him was 95, 93 and 92 out of a possible 100. According to his teacher, John was confident that he would place in the top three and excited when his name was called to come to the stage and accept his trophy.
Adam Graham captured third place in career exploration. He completed a detailed portfolio on carpentry. His portfolio included information on job duties, working conditions, employment outlook and educational requirements. Adam is employed with LH Repairs.
DeOndre Robinson earned third place in professional foods. He competed against nine other students. His project was setting up for an Evening Tea. His display included a Cinnamon Pecan Cake, finger sandwiches and, of course, tea.
