Newton County School System will host a job fair March 5 as part of its effort to hire approximately 200 teachers for the 2022-2023 school year.
The school system is offering a $1,000 signing incentive to eligible teachers who sign contracts at the job fair, said Nyree Sanders, director of Human Resources for Newton County Schools.
Newton County School System (NCSS) is based in Covington, Georgia, approximately 40 miles east of Atlanta on Interstate 20.
Officials are asking potential applicants to register to attend the NCSS Teacher Job Fair on March 5 at Newton High School located at 1 Ram Way in Covington.
From 9 a.m. to noon, administrators from NCSS schools will be on site interviewing and hiring teachers to fill positions for the 2022-2023 school year. All applicants must register to attend by applying on the NCSS website or completing the Google Registration Form.
Certain documents are required to complete the online application process. These include a current resume, college transcripts, test scores, exemption scores for GACE program assessments (if applicable), and teaching certificate or certificate of eligibility (if applicable).
Prospective applicants who are still in school but will graduate from college soon are also invited to apply.
In order to be offered a position with NCSS for the 2022-2023 school year, applicants must not be under contract with another Georgia school system for 2022-2023.
