Students and teachers at Clements Middle School celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month for the first time with a special program Oct. 18.

Students performed a bachata dance and read speeches highlighting notable Hispanics. They also enjoyed a performance of the Argentine tango, rhumba and salsa by the Dominy School of the Performing Arts, featuring Paula Dominy and Guadalupe Torres.

The CMS chorus performed two selections, including Shakira’s "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)." The program concluded with the Clements Dance Team and Soccer Club joining the chorus in a flash mob dance and soccer game.
