Alcovy band festival tonight

The Alcovy High School Tiger Band will stage a Christmas festival fundraiser tonight that will feature free music and a visit from Santa.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. with a pancake supper ($5). A concert featuring the Tiger Band and the Veterans Memorial Middle School band begins at 6:30 p.m.

The festival also features crafts, a bake sale and silent auction. Coffee, hot cocoa, milk and canned sodas will be available for purchase.

You can visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Photos are $7 and those interested are asked to bring their camera. There is a maximum $20 charge per family and payment is cash only.

The festival will be held at the high school, 14567 Ga. Highway 36. Pancake supper tickets may be purchased from a band member, at the band room or at the door.
