SOCIAL CIRCLE, Ga. — Police in at least two counties are searching for a man accused of killing his estranged wife.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is looking for 39-year-old Jerome Mobley. He faces warrants charging felony murder, aggravated assault and two counts of first-degree child cruelty.

The search had moved into Morgan County as of Wednesday afternoon.

Mobley allegedly committed the crimes Wednesday morning at a home on or near Knox Chapel Road east of Social Circle.

Officials in both Morgan and Walton counties warned Mobley is considered “armed and dangerous.”

Social Circle City Schools officials changed their bus route Wednesday afternoon in the area near the crime scene. Students who use Bus 51, which goes to the Knox Chapel Road area, were to be taken to Willow Springs Church. Students who are not picked up at the church will be returned to the middle/high school.
