MONROE, Ga. — One person died in an officer-involved shooting in Walton County on Tuesday.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called into the case at the request of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, GBI spokeswoman Nelly Miles said Tuesday afternoon.

Miles said two people were shot and one had died. No officers were injured, Miles said.
