COVINGTON, Ga. – The Newton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Wednesday night shooting that left two people wounded.

According to NCSO Spokesman Deputy Michael Gregg, dispatchers received a call Oct. 24 around 11:17 p.m. about gunshots at 100 Greenway Drive.

Gregg said when deputies arrived at the scene they found two victims - one male and one female - with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to the hospital.
