COVINGTON, Ga. - Investigators from the Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) are looking for the person or persons who broke into a Covington home and stole two firearms Tuesday.

According to the NCSO incident report, approximately 4:30 p.m. May 9, a deputy responded to a report of a burglary at a residence on Laurel Way. At the scene, he met with the complainant who said that between 1 and 4 p.m., somebody kicked in the back door of the house and stole a rifle and a pistol.

NCSO said there no suspects at this time.
