BREAKING: NCSO announces arrests in Indian Creek fight video
Indian Creek Middle School Fight

COVINGTON, Ga. - The Newton County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two juvenile females seen in a video fighting another student at Indian Creek Middle School Tuesday.

NCSO Sgt. Cortney Morrison said a 14-year-old and a 15 year-old were arrested and charged with battery in the incident.

According to a Facebook post shared Wednesday by Kara Lott Bruce, the school had been warned about the incident beforehand.

"They were arguing Monday and that night they sent messages saying they were going to jump her (Bruce's daughter) at school the next day," according to the post. "Donaven Bruce called and left messages to warn someone. Nobody called us back. So they kept their word and jumped on her yesterday."

Bruce posted that she has reached out to the school's principal and Newton County School System, but nothing has been done.

"The students involved in the fight at Indian Creek Middle School were disciplined for violating the student code of conduct," Sherri Davis, NCSS director of public relations, said. "We also notified law enforcement of the incident."
