DeKalb County Sheriff Thomas Brown will challenge fellow Democrat and incumbent Hank Johnson for Georgia’s 4th congressional district seat. Brown will make an official announcement at 4 p.m. today on the Covington square. Brown was appointed DeKalb County sheriff in 2000, following the assassination of his predecessor. Johnson was first elected to Congress in November 2006.
