Expect some explosive rock on Friday and Saturday when the TnT Band Rocks performs at the Covington nightclub It's Five O'Clock Somewhere.
The group features the husband-and-wife team of singer and guitarist Tommy Lee and keyboardist and vocalist Tammy Renee, with drummer Brian Rainwater.
The music veterans have lived five years in Covington, but this will mark their first performance here, according to a release.
Tommy Lee and Tammy Renee have performed 13 years together. Rainwater has been with the band four years. They play an array of music genres, including classic rock, country, R&B, funk, disco and Southern rock. They also have played gigs ranging from nightclubs to corporate events.
According to his handout biography, Tommy Lee has had an extensive music career that has included performances with Billy Joe Royal, Johnny Paycheck, The Platters, The Coasters, The Drifters and Grand Funk Railroad. He has opened for acts including Wet Willie, the Allman Brothers Band, The Beach Boys and Lynyrd Skynryd.
He's known for his guitarwork and vocals but plays nine instruments. Tommy Lee released a CD, "Unsung Hero."
Tammy Renee has performed since 1996 and has taken to the stage at Atlanta clubs including Southern Comfort, Rudy's, MC's Country Palace, The Red Dog Saloon, The Star Bar and Wild Bill's, according to a release.
