On Tuesday, April 28, at approximately 3:35 pm. Newton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a Burglary at 220 Riverwalk Farms Parkway, just south of the city of Covington located off Dearing Road.

When Deputies arrived, they discovered that the front door of the residence had forcibly been entered and the outside phone wires were cut or pulled out of the phone jack box. The homeowner also showed deputies that the burglary suspects had ripped the alarm control box of the wall on the inside of the residence.

The victim reported that the perpetrator(s) had gone through his residence and stolen adult and kids clothing, a jar of money, and even a “presci canario” 4-month-old puppy.

At the time of the burglary, the victim’s residential surveillance video was recording and filmed the incident.  Deputies reviewed the recording which showed three black males in a dark in color sedan vehicle arrive at the residence.  The video shows one of the males going around to the rear of the residence and pulling or cutting the phone lines from the phone box.  Deputies noted from the video that one of the suspects then kicks the front door in and makes entry into the residence as he is holding some type of handgun. From the video footage, Deputies reported after the suspects forcibly entered the residence, a short time later, they left carrying a bag full of stolen items and the puppy.
