A local man was tragically killed Wednesday night at one of Newton County's most notorious intersections.

the Georgia Department of Transportation has plans to install a stoplight at the intersection of Hwy. 36 and Henderson Mill Road, but there are no funds for the project at present, County Chairman Keith Ellis told The News.
