New Generation Christian Church will hold the “Give a heart” benefit concert for Edward Reid on Saturday, October 11 at 5:30 p.m.

Reid is in need of a heart transplant and his friend/mentee of seven years, Devon Hines decided to try and help Reid with his hospital bills and other financial obligations. The concert is free to the public, but Reid is asking for donations.

“He’s a very good guy. He’s involved in his community. We just wanna help him out as much as we can,” Hines said.

“He’s a minister of music at the church out in Conyers also, but he’s unable to work because of his condition.”

There will be six performers, including Luke G, who had a song called “It’s A New Praise” on Praise 102.5 a year ago. The New Generation is located at 1581 Lester Road NW.
