Experienced hands: In honor of World Wide Knitting Day Saturday, a group of knitters gathered on the Covington square from 10 a.m. until noon. They created a circle of lawn chairs in the shade of the giant magnolia trees to avoid the intense June heat. The group meets Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at Town Center Breads Coffee House, 4171 Raphael Street, Covington. Childcare is not offered and crocheters are also welcome.
