A five-year-old child was killed in a single car accident Friday, according to 1st Lt. Mark Mitchell with the Newton County Sheriff's Department. A call came in to the NCSO at roughly 12:45 p.m. and deputies headed to Ga. Highway 162 near Avery Place subdivision. When they arrived they found a blue car with three children and one adult woman inside.
