Employees of SRG Global were treated to a barbecue luncheon Friday afternoon in honor of the company’s 40th year doing business in Covington.

According to Plant Manager Mike Anderson, SRG Global employs around 390 people. The company makes exterior trim components for automobiles.

First opened as Covington Molding in 1969, the company eventually became Guardian Automotive and recently acquired Seigel Roberts and became SRG Global.

Each of the three shifts at the company enjoyed a party, but retired employees were invited to the luncheon.

In addition to barbecue provided by J.D.’s Bar-b-que, prizes were raffled off to employees.

Many of the employees have worked at the company almost as long as it has been operating in Covington.
