Authorities are still stumped by the double homicide of 66-year- old Peggy Molden and her 56-year-old nephew Donald Eugene McCullough on Feb. 7 at their Tempie Lane home.

When deputies from the Newton County Sheriff's Office and EMS personnel arrived at the home after receiving a call for help from a medical alert device inside the home around 9:30 a.m., they could reportedly see one person down inside the home. Once they forced their way inside, they found the second person.

Both Molden and McCullough were shot to death. According to authorities McCullough was paralyzed and in a wheelchair and his aunt was his caretaker.

Despite handing out flyers in the area and questioning neighbors, no arrests have been made.

"NCSO investigators along with agents from the GBI are still working around the clock to solve this crime," said NCSO Lt. Tyrone Oliver. "We are currently looking for a motive as to why Peggy and Eugene were killed."

Anyone with information is asked to contact the NCSO at (678) 625-1400 or online at www.newtonsheriffga.org. All tips can be given anonymously.
