UPDATE: The AMBER Alert issued for 2-year-old Cael Whitehead has been canceled. He has been found and a suspect is currently in custody.

An AMBER Alert has been issued for 2-year-old Cael Whitehead, reportedly taken from Tennessee by his father, 23-year-old Austin Whitehead. The two may be en route to Covington.

Cael was last seen at his home today around 9 a.m. He is described as a white male, roughly 35 lbs and 2-feet-6-inches tall with brown hair and blue eyes. It is unknown what clothing he would be wearing.

Austin is a white male with green eyes and brown hair, weighing 170 lbs and is 6-feet-tall. He is believed to be traveling in a green 2003 Pontiac Grand AM with tag number BYQ 0161. He has apparently made suicidal threats in the past and may be a danger to others.

There are warrants on file for Austin. If anyone has information on the two or has spotted their vehicle, contact the Houston County Sheriff's Office at (931) 721-4019.
