ATLANTA (AP) — A freeze warning has been issued for most of central and northern Georgia as arctic air approaches the region.

The National Weather Service said the warning will be in effect from 5 p.m. Tuesday until 10 a.m. Wednesday. A wind advisory has also been issued.

Forecasters project that temperatures will fall into the low 30s late Tuesday afternoon and dip into the low 20s overnight. They say that will result in wind chill readings dropping into the teens by Tuesday night.
