Cooking with Melanie: S'mores Cake Bars

“I love smores! This is my creative twist on an old favorite snack. This recipe is so simple and delicious. For this recipe you can use white chocolate or milk chocolate chips, although I prefer the white chocolate for this one. No sticky sticks, just ooey-gooey goodness! I hope you enjoy my S’mores Cake Bars.”

Ingredients:

1 boxed Vanilla cake mix

1 egg

1 stick of butter, softened

1/2 bag of white chocolate chips

2 individual packages of Graham crackers, broken apart

1 bag of mini marshmallows

1 can of sweetened condensed milk

Preheat oven to 350. Well grease an 8x8 baking pan. In a mixing bowl mix the egg, butter, and cake mix together until well combined. Spread the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Then cover the mixture as much as you can with whole Graham cracker squares. Cover the Graham crackers with as many chocolate chips as you like, up to a half bag. Cover that with the mini marshmallows. Drizzle the sweetened condensed milk all over the top. (It will only take about 3/4 of the can to cover the top pretty well.) Place it in the oven and bake until the marshmallows and sweetened condensed milk start to caramelize. Cool slightly. Cut into squares and serve. Enjoy!
