Mr. Daniel M. Clower, 90, of Covington, died Nov. 27. He was born in 1917 in Gwinnett County. Mr. Clower was a member of Covington First United Methodist Church, a graduate of the University of Georgia and a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving in World War II. He worked at Ginn Motor Co., was a manager of Meadors Freight Lines and owned Joe's Auto Alignment in Decatur. Mr. Clower was past-president of the Covington Rotary Club, served twice as president of the Covington-Newton County Chamber of Commerce, was past commander of American legion Post No. 32 and was past exalted ruler of Covington Elks Club No. 1806.

Surviving are son Daniel Carl Clower of Conyers; daughter Lynn and Derrell Carnes of Covington; grandchildren Rod and Wendy Carnes, Carl Clower, Sarah Clower; great-grandchildren Talea Clower, Califf Carnes, Colin Carnes, Caden Carnes, Devin Clower and Danielle Clower.

Graveside services will be held today, Nov. 30, at 3 p.m. at Lawnwood Memorial Park with the Rev. John Whatley officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. today, Nov. 30, at the funeral home.
