Carroll Henry (Stump) Kneece, 56, of Newborn, died Dec. 17 at Atlanta Medical Center. The son of the late J.C. and Louise Busbee Kneece, he owned and operated S&K Services Inc. in Oxford. Mr. Kneece was of the Baptist faith, loved working as a machinist, enjoyed woodworking and dearly loved his family.

Surviving are wife Beverly Kneece of Newborn; daughters and sons-in-law Jenifer and Robert Shope of Newborn, Stephanie and Tim Stewart of Braselton; son and daughter-in-law Jody and Tasha Kneece of Walnut Grove; grandchildren Kayla Shope, Zack Shope, Emily Shope,, Hayes Stewart, Griffin Stewart, Haley Kneece, Ben Kneece, Mya Kneece; sisters and brothers-in-law Bessie and Ed Whittler of Trenton, S.C., Eunice and Bo New of Aiken, S.C., Frances and Jack Shirley of Grametville, S.C., Edeth and Dub Moore of Jackson, S.C., Janice and Bill Howell of Aiken, S.C.; brother Earl Kneece of Wagner, S.C.; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 19, in the Access Road chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Dec. 19, from noon until 2 p.m
