Carl Benjamin Dozier Jr., 59, of Covington, died April 26 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Atlanta. The son of the late Carl B. Dozier Sr., he was a self-employed roof repairer for 30 years, during which time he subcontracted with Reliable Roofing of Atlanta for 20 years. Mr. Dozier was a member of Family Worship Center and enjoyed fishing. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a very special son-in-law.

Surviving are his wife Patricia D. Dozier; daughters Carolyn Annette Dozier, Julie Fulton, both of Conyers, and Amy Fulton of Atlanta; sons Carl B. Dozier III of Jackson, John T. Scott, Steven D. Scott, Jacob R. Scott and Timothy Scott, all of Covington; 17 grandchildren; mother Shirley Mae Dozier of High Falls; sisters Amy Spain of Alabama, Teresa Mullinax, Sheila Trimble, Cynthia Hammond, all of Cumming; brothers Jerry Wayne Dozier of Valdosta, Bobby Dozier, Leroy Dozier, Michael Dozier, all of High Falls; mother-in-law Mary Mann of Covington; numerous nieces and nephews; best friends David and Kelly Carter of Covington; loving aunt Betty Carter of Covington.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, April 30, in the Access Road chapel of Caldwell & Cowan with Pastor Charles Harvey and the Rev. Dennis Whitley officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Methodist Cemetery.
