Due to inclement weather, Friday night's Newton vs. Rockdale County basketball game has been postponed.

No make up date has been set.

Saturday contests are still being held as reguarly scheduled.

Due to inclement weather sweeping through the Southeast Tuesday afternoon, all high school athletic events for Newton and Rockdale counties have been postponened.

Newton's regularly scheduled home contest against Luella set for Tuesday night has been postponed. An official date has not been set, but Newton coach Rick Rasmussen said the game may be moved to Saturday, Feb. 8., and count as the Rams' final regular-season home contest.

Alcovy's scheduled Tuesday night contest against Lovejoy has also been postponed. A make-up date has not yet been set.

Rockdale County saw a pair of contests postponed due to weather; they impacted all three local high school teams.

The Rockdale County vs. Salem contest set for Tuesday has been postponed until Thursdaynight. The games will be played at Salem High School at 6 p.m.

Heritage High also canceled its regularly scheduled road game at Winder-Barrow. A make-up date for this contest has not been set.
