Alcovy’s Jameel Abdul-Mateen will be chasing elite-athlete status at the NCAA Outdoor Championshops in Eugene, Ore., starting today.

Abdul-Mateen is making his NCAA debut for Clemson in the long jump. The sophomore was All-ACC in the event last month, qualifying for the event, going from today until Saturday, as one of the top 12 finishers at the NCAA East Prelims in Greensboro, N.C.
