The winner may have been a toss-up, but the fervor was evident as Memorial Middle School debate team students argued their points during a recent local school board meeting. The debate served as a presentation and also as practice for an upcoming regional tournament. For about 15 minutes, Rockdale County Board of Education members heard five MMS students debate whether or not the U.S. should lift the embargo against Cuba.
