Runners, cyclists take to the streets for first Pave the Path run/walk/ride

The first Pave the Path 10K and 2K fun run/walk will take place today at 8 a.m.. The event is sponsored by the Main Street Foundation, Conte's Bicycles and Fitness Equipment. The 10K run starts at 8 a.m. and the 2K run starts at 8:15 a.m. Trophies will be given to the top three men and women finishers. Registration is $25 on Race Day.

The Metric Century Ride is also on Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. The course, which consists of two hilly loops, stops at the Welcome Center in Olde Town. Cyclists can choose between a 29-mile, 35-mile and 64-mile course, with one rest stop. Preregistration before May 23 is $30 per person or $60 per family of four or more. Registration is $35 after May 23 and on race day.
