Recycle your bicycle for Christmas

You can help make a child's Christmas shine with your donated bicycle and help from local bicycling supporters this year.

C-Town Bikes, Covington-Conyers Cycling Club and the Conyers-Rockdale Bike and Trail Coalition will be refurbishing donated bike(s) to provide to kids over at the Barksdale Boys & Girls Club in Conyers for Christmas. Theses groups are asking for bicycles in reasonable condition for all age groups to be donated.

Drop off your bikes before Dec. 14 at C-Town Bikes, 1927 Ga. Hwy 138, Conyers, Ga.

C-Town Bikes sells and services all types of dependable bicycles including road, mountain, children's and leisure bikes. The Covington-Conyers Cycling Club, commonly known as "C4", was formed in the 1990s and now has more than 400 members. C4 organizes bike rides and through the individual efforts of its membership contributes time and donations to many local charities. The Conyers-Rockdale Bike & Trail Coalition, CRBTC, is a local non-profit biking & walking advocacy organization.

In addition to the Christmas Bike Program with the Barskdale Boys & Girl's Club, CRBTC organizes other events and services community. These include organizing the Olde Town Ride the fourth Sunday of each month, serving as an advocate for the bicycling and walking community to local elected officials and administrators and teaching classes to new drivers about sharing the road with cyclists and making cycling and walking safer in our community.
