The Rockdale County Board of Commissioners honored Rockdale County fire fighter Timothy Scott Martin for 20 years of service at its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday.
"I appreciate the opportunity to be a fire fighter for 20 years," Martin said.
Martin became a fire fighter in 1989.
"Scott has been an exemplary employee. Scott has made a profession of being a fire fighter," said Interim Fire Chief Michael Conner.
Martin is a certified National Professional Qualified Fire Fighter I and II, HazMat certified, a HazMat technician, a Georgia Mercy Medical Technician at the intermediate level.
In 2007, Martin earned a certificate of commendation for rescuing three victims from a house fire.
"Thank you for all the work that you give to the department and to me," Conner said.
