Chance of snow Friday

The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement early Thursday morning concerning wintry weather for Rockdale County and the surrounding areas.
A low pressure system over the Gulf of Mexico is expected to bring precipitation into portions of Central and North Georgia early Friday. With temperatures expected to be in a high of 37 degrees and a low of 27 degrees, and chance of precipitation at 70 percent, the National Weather Service predicts a chance of snow or a mixture of rain and snow over the area.
Latest indications are that some areas could see one to two inches of snow, mainly from Atlanta and Athens southward on Friday.
Flurries can be expected until late Friday night.
