Drivers are again asked to avoid using I-20 eastbound in Rockdale and Newton counties, unless they want to risk getting stuck in long delays.

Two left lanes on I-20 eastbound will be closed this weekend between State Route 138 (exit 82) to Alcovy Road (exit 92).

The lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday for continuing milling of the existing pavement and repaving.

Some I-20 lanes will also be closed in Atlanta and west of Atlanta.

All work is weather permitting.
