Mr. Arthur Hugh Smith, age 93 of Conyers, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011. "Smitty" was born and raised in Conyers and returned home after living in Atlanta for many years. He was employed by IBM for 41 years. He is survived by four daughters, Linda and Tim Warren, Hartwell, Cheryl and David Chambers, Marietta, Nancy and Steve Barden, Hoschton, Gail deLeede, Marietta; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. The family sincerely appreciates the tender care provided by the staff of Athens Regional Medical Center and St. Mary's Hospice House in Bogart, GA. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 11 a.m. at East View Cemetery in Conyers with Dr. John Beyers officiating.
