Dear Editor: What is a veteran? A veteran whether on active duty, discharged, retired or reserve is someone who, at one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check to the "United States of America" for an amount of "up to" their life. That is an honor, and there are far too many people in this country today who no longer understand and/or respect this fact. Let’s work to change this misunderstanding.
