Toys for Tots

Dear Editor: Each year the Newton High School Marine Corps Junior ROTC program assists the Marine Corps Reserve in collecting new toys for local families in need as part of the annual Toys for Tots Drive. We are asking local industry and business leaders to be part of this effort.

The cadets in the JROTC program and their parents will be in the community asking for any assistance that is appropriate for the circumstances of your business. They will present this letter as a means of introduction and ask for your assistance. Below are some ideas for you to consider: place a Toys for Tots advertising poster in the window; place a collection box in a central, visible location for customers and/or employees; donate toys or gift certificates; monetary donations - the business would be responsible to collect any monetary donations. Donations by check should be made payable to NHS MCJROTC (100 percent of cash donations will go toward the purchase of toys for the drive); offer discounts for purchase of toys with the cash donations.

Please consider rendering whatever assistance you can in order to help us achieve our goal of ensuring that no child goes without Christmas.

If you have any questions or wish additional information, please contact me at (770) 385-6411 or usmc.nhs@newton.k12.ga.us.
