Dear Sirs: The family of Wendy Cartledge-Carter would like to offer their special thanks to Judge Samuel Ozburn for his sentencing, the jurors for their decision [in the case against Cobey Lakemper], Sheriff Ezell Brown and the deputies for being so helpful and District Attorney Layla Zon and Assistant District Attorney Peter Boehm and all their office for doing great for us.

Special thanks to all the family members who supported us and all the relatives and friends that were there for us.
We know the trial was very costly for Newton County and we will never forget all that everyone has done for us. We thank you for everything.

We did not know the names of many people in court, but you all know who you are. We thank you very much for all you've done for our family and for Wendy.
