Dear Editor: On Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, the Covington Fire Department celebrated its 100th anniversary. I would like to thank the Covington News and its staff for helping to make the public celebration possible. As the wife of a City of Covington Firefighter I was deeply touched that the Covington News published a special supplement on the Covington Fire Department as well as providing refreshments for the celebration. The brave men of the Covington Fire Department put their lives on the line each and every day for us and I’m sure it means a great deal to them to be recognized in such a way.

Again, I’d like to say thank you to the Covington News and its staff for honoring the Covington Fire Department.
