To the editor: Thanks to Oxford College for what they have done to the properties along Ga. Highway 81/Emory Street and on Emory Street cross streets that they have purchased in recent years. I drive by these properties frequently, and they are always in very good shape as are the yards and their signage. Maintenance of these properties is an aesthetic benefit to Oxford.

Additionally, retaining these structures as they are maintains the neighborhood housing structural appearance. Thanks to Oxford College for updating the interiors of these structures to meet their institutional needs as compared to building new structures that might be more institutionally practical, but visually different from surrounding structures.
